Starting with new factory made brass ensures better uniformity of the case walls, tighter tolerances and a more concentric case than range brass or processed range brass might offer you. If precision shooting is your goal then start your loading process with new rifle or pistol brass.
Range brass, polished range brass and processed range brass are a great options for reloading as well.
