Hornady InterLock 25 Caliber .257 117gr BTSP Bullets /100

Our traditional line of bullets feature exposed lead tips for controlled expansion and hard-hitting terminal performance. Most have our pioneering secant ogive design — one of the most ballistically efficient profiles ever developed (see diagram to right). Most feature our exclusive InterLock® design — a raised ring inside the jacket that is embedded in the bullet's core that keeps the core and jacket locked together during expansion to retain mass and energy.

INNER GROOVES
Strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket, ensuring consistent, controlled expansion, even at long range.

TAPERED JACKET
Jacket thickness is precisely controlled for expansion at all velocities.

ONE-PIECE CORE
Does not separate like two-piece divided cores. The InterLock® retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels that ensure quick, clean kills.

CANNELURE
Provides accurate and consistent crimping and also works with InterLock® ring to ensure the core and jacket remain locked during expansion.

INTERLOCK® RING
The raised InterLock® ring is embedded in the bullet's core, ensuring the core and jacket are locked in one piece during expansion to retain mass and energy.

Hunters worldwide use InterLock bullets to take everything from antelope to zebra and from whitetails to wildebeest. It's such a proven performer, Hornady selected it to load into enhanced performance Light Magnum and Heavy Magnum ammunition. How the Interlock Bullet works: It all happens in less than 1 /100th of a second. Yet it takes decades of experience in the design and manufacture of bullets to make it happen the same shot after shot after shot.

InterLock consistently performs under more shooting conditions than any other bullet. 1. On impact, the soft lead point is immediately pushed back and begins to expand in diameter. 2. The copper jacket, inner grooved at the bullet's point, folds back behind the leading edge of the expanding lead core. 3. The classic mushroom is achieved by the jacket and core expanding at the same rate. Expansion is controlled by increased resistance from the growing thickness of the copper jacket. 4. The InterLock ring, imbedded in the lead core, assures that the jacket and core will not separate as the bullet reaches its full expansion.

Note: These are component bullets, not loaded ammunition.

About the Manufacturer
"Ten bullets through one hole" was the philosophy of Joyce Hornady, the company's founder. This great idea of accuracy and perfection has continued from the first bullet made more than sixty years ago, right through today.

Like so many successful companies, Hornady Manufacturing was born out of one man's vision of a better product for his own use. Joyce Hornady was an avid shooter and needed a steady supply of good, accurate bullets. While commercially available bullets were usable, Joyce felt that better bullets could be made.

We continue to be one of the largest independent producers of bullets in the World. They sell bullets as separate components, loaded in Hornady Ammunition, and also to other ammunition companies to be loaded in their premium grade ammo. Their employees exhibit our products at trade shows and shooting matches across the country, and our product lines are represented to dealers and distributors by over 70 independent sales representatives.

Hornady Manufacturing has been the recipient of many industry awards and has also given generously within the community of Grand Island, where we make our home. Organizations supported include the United Way, the Platte River Charity Shoot, the Heartland Public Shooting Park, Hope Harbor, the Central-Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross, Stuhr Museum and the list goes on.

Hornady was the leading founder of the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Fund, and they support or serve on The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Honored American Veterans Afield, the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute, The National Rifle Association, and many others. As a member of the shooting and hunting sports industry, Hornady realizes the need to give back to the sports that keep them in business and maintain our heritage..

The stature of Hornady Manufacturing Company within its industry has never been higher. Combine the best customer base with the best employees, throw in the family/management team running this business; it's hard not to be successful.
