It starts at the bearing surface with a tangent ogive that aligns itself when the bullet contacts the rifling. Then it transitions to a secant ogive, proven to be least influenced by wind, with its reduced drag properties. The result is a high Ballistic Coefficient (BC) bullet that is easy to load and shoot.
New Long Range Hybrid Target (LRHT) bullets feature an improved center of gravity and increased Ballistic Coefficient (BC). Our Meplat Reduction Technology (MRT) System applies controlled pressure along the nose improving shot-to-shot consistency and ballistics down range.
Berger Hybrid Target Rifle Bullets utilize their industry-leading hybrid ogive, which blends tangent and secant designs to optimize efficiency, reduce wind-drift, and minimize sensitivity to seating depth.
