CorBon DPX 38 Special +P 110gr Barnes X Ammunition /20

CORBON’s DPX Handgun ammunition exhibits superior performance to all other defensive ammunition on the market. The reason is the homogeneous solid copper projectile. “Barrier blind” is the new terminology for ammunition that outstandingly performs after penetrating a heavy barrier like auto glass or steel. DPX is the only ammunition that maintains 100% of its weight after going through such barriers.

All DPX bullets are also certified lead free and can be used in California.

The DPX bullet is 100% solid copper bullet. Internal serration cuts have been added instead of traditional external serrations. These internal serration cuts allow the copper bullet to fully expand making the bullet double diameter with 6 razor sharp pedals.

The research and development team at CORBON used the protocol from the FBI's testing procedures to formulate the DPX defensive line of ammunition. They achieved soft tissue penetration of 12”-18”, with reliable and consistent expansion. The recovered bullets retained 100% of the original size and weight when recovered from the test medium of 10% ballistic gelatin and shot through four layers of 10oz denim barrier. The permanent crush cavity is also considerably larger than that of a typical JHP.

About the Manufacturer
Proudly, we are still an American family-owned and operated business after 33 years in business. As a family of shooters, we at CORBON understand your needs, from self defense, competition, hunting, law enforcement, and military.

The last few years have been especially challenging for our industry. Specifically, with all the legal issues that continue to plague gun enthusiasts, along with the panic buying, rumors, and hoarding of ammunition and shortages of components. It has created an unsteady market flow for our products. As things settle down a bit in 2015, we are expecting more of a steady buying year with smoother delivery times of our products.

CORBON's quality control is second to none! We fervently stand behind it. That takes a lot of extra care in manufacturing and hence a bit longer production time than other manufactures that run at higher capacity. Our employees take great pride in their work and are honored to create the best PROVEN, Performance Driven Ammunition you can buy. We refuse to compromise excellerated delivery times over our quality controls.

Creating quality ammunition takes good engineering, quality components and rigorous testing in various mediums along with years of experience. There have been several new ammunition companies lately with a promise of the latest wonder product at bargain prices. These unPROVEN companies and products may seem like a bargain, but would you compromise your safety or that of your loved ones on weird designs and gimmicks, along with products that have been rushed to market, over tried and true designs and quality control measures that have spanned 33 years? This is absolutely unfathomable in our minds.

CORBON continues its steady growth using PROVEN designs, unsurpassed quality control and exceptional customer service! We stand behind our products 100%. If you are unsatisfied with any of our products, simply contact us and will gladly resolve any issues.

Our family sincerely thanks you for your continued patronage. We all are facing some unsettling social changes, BUT you can rest assured, Our family will back you up when you need it!

About the 38 Special Cartridge
The .38 Smith & Wesson Special (commonly .38 Special, .38 Spl, or .38 Spc, pronounced "thirty-eight special") is a rimmed, centerfire cartridge designed by Smith & Wesson. It is most commonly used in revolvers, although some semi-automatic pistols and carbines also use this round. The .38 Special was the standard service cartridge of most police departments in the United States from the 1920s to the early 1990s, and was also a common sidearm cartridge used by soldiers in World War I. In other parts of the world, it is known by its metric designation of 929.5mmR or 9.129mmR.
